‘BEST VIEWS EVER’ – EMMERDALE STAR HAS THE LIFE OF RILEY IN DONEGAL!

Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley was soaking up the sunshine and scenery of Donegal over the weekend and was more than impressed with Inishowen’s delights.

The soap star, who plays Mandy Dingle in Emmerdale, is touring the north west with her fiance, American musician Al.

Lisa shared her amazement at An Grianan Aileach on social media, saying: “One of the BEST views we’ve EVER discovered….takes your breath away, that’s for sure-GRIANAN OF AILEACH.

“Came to Ireland to keep discovering, we really have not been let down. It’s UNBELIEVABLE-and the weather today is perfect.”

The couple’s tour began in Sligo and moved on to Burt before travelling onwards to Malin Head.

On reaching the Wild Atlantic Way marker at Ireland’s most northerly point, she said: “”WE MADE IT” another boxed (SIC) ticked. the most NORTHERNLY POINT OF MAINLAND IRELAND……. Another precious moment collected together. “Malin Head” has been on our bucket list for months-so glad we got to get here, it’s just BEAUTIFUL.”

The actress’s visit is sure to shine a spotlight on the region as her posts gain thousands of likes across Facebook and Instagram.

Lisa isn’t the only celeb to be spending their holidays in Donegal this summer. Irish rugby stars including Brian O’Driscoll, Ian Madigan, Rob Kearney, Andrew Trimble, Paddy Wallace, Fergus McFadden, Rory Best and Geordan Murphy shared photos touring Glen and Rosapenna at the end of June.

Plus, American actor Peter Gallagher was spotted out and about enjoying Donegal’s culinary and golfing gems last week. Gallagher, the star of The OC and scores of US dramas and films, took some downtime on the quality golf courses on the Atlantic coast.

Staff of the award-winning Fisk Seafood Bar in Downings were delighted to welcome Gallagher as a customer.

Team member Aoife McConville, who is a big fan of New Girl, took the opportunity to ask for a selfie which Gallagher happily obliged.

“He was really cool guy, so down to earth and laid back,” said Tony Davidson of Fisk.
