Torchwood legend Naoko Mori is returning as Tosh for a new special.
Naoko is reprising her role from the classic series as tech expert Toshiko ‘Tosh’ Sato for a Big Finish audio drama called Torchwood: End Game, which is available now in CD and digital download formats.
This episode is set before the Torchwood season 2 finale ‘Exit Wounds’, as Tosh represents the shadowy organisation in a diplomatic simulation game to avert the end of the world.
As Tosh works with other global leaders in this test of the world’s disaster preparedness, it becomes clear that they are all in very real danger.

Mori is joined in Torchwood: End Game by Greg Wise (The Crown), Ed White (Doctor Who), and Jolade Obasola (Top Boy) as government ministers, while Tatjana Nardone (The Winter King) plays the voice of the computer simulation.
“It’s Torchwood in an escape room, a panic room,” Mori teased. “I’m really claustrophobic, so as soon as I started reading this script, it was not a comfortable read.
“But you can always depend on Tosh. She’s one of those people who will always sacrifice herself for everyone else.”
Torchwood: End Game was written by Make Me Prime Minister‘s Tom Black, while Doctor Who script editor Scott Handcock directed the audio drama.
“I first designed disaster scenarios for an immersive theatre show called Crisis? What Crisis? a few years ago,” Black said. “The audience had to take part in an increasingly chaotic set of challenges that they needed to fix themselves.
“I think in real life Tosh would do okay, as she’s very smart. She’s capable of seeing the big picture in a way that not all of the Torchwood Three team can when under pressure, and that’s what excited me about putting her into this kind of scenario.”
Mori starred in the first two seasons of Torchwood, after originally debuting as Tosh in the Doctor Who episode ‘Aliens of London’.
